Naked on the Summit of Damavand is Joey Largent’s first poetry chapbook, gathering selected poems written between spring 2022 and winter 2025. Primarily in English with poems in Turkish, Russian, Georgian, and Persian—the collection traces an inner cosmology of landscapes, memory, spiritual inquiry, and lived geographies.
The book moves through examinations of distance and intimacy, tracing the self, God, nature, the body, and infinity. Rather than presenting a single narrative, it offers fragments of a map, returning repeatedly to recurring dreams of Mount Damavand and its shifting meaning across time.
The first physical edition was self-published through Largent’s micro-imprint Dreams of Damavand: a North American pressing of 27 hand-stitched, hand-numbered copies printed in Fayetteville, Arkansas (now sold out). The digital edition’s formal release will be announced soon.
